MCHS CULINARY SENIORS AWARDED SCHOLARSHIPS

Seven Martin County High School seniors in the Academy of Culinary Arts Program received a scholarship from the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association Educational Federation (FRLAEF).

There are 211 ProStart programs in the state of Florida, including the Culinary Program at MCHS.

Every year, the FRLAEF awards forty $2,000 scholarships to high school seniors in Florida who plan to pursue a career and post-secondary education in a hospitality industry-related course of study.  This year, seven seniors in the MCHS Culinary Arts Program applied and ALL seven have been awarded the scholarship.

The students will be recognized during the FRLA Salute to Excellence Awards at the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando on March 5 during the high school's ProStart competition trip.
