School Board Meeting - 3/21/23

The Martin County School Board is expected to discuss key next steps in the search for the Martin County School District's (MCSD) next Superintendent of Schools on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. This meeting of the School Board will begin at 4:00 p.m.

In February, Superintendent Dr. John D. Millay announced his intent to resign by the end of the current fiscal year (June 30). Dr. Millay, who served many years as a Superintendent of Schools in Kentucky prior to continuing his career in Florida, holds the distinction of being Martin County's first appointed Superintendent. He began his term with MCSD in November 2020.

During Tuesday's meeting, the School Board is expected to discuss potential updates to the existing job description for the role of Superintendent, as well as consider the appointment process and associated contract negotiations.

Members of the community are encouraged to attend to hear the School Board's discussion and share their perspectives during the public comment portion of the meeting. The meeting will also be livestreamed via the District's YouTube channel.
