O’Hara entered state seeded first and second, respectively in traditional and Olympic competitions. At the end of the year’s final meet, the senior stood near the top of the podium in each event, taking the traditional runner-up (255 pounds) and placing third in Olympic (240 pounds). O’Hara swept districts before winning the region’s title in traditional and earning regional runner-up honors in Olympic. Congratulations to our tennis athletes who have been nominated for Mulligan’s TC Palm “Athlete of the Week”! Spencer Belville- The senior was perfect through two matches at second doubles and added wins at second and third singles to help the Falcons earn wins against Jensen Beach and Dreyfoos School of the Arts. Valerie Gomez - The junior went undefeated in two matches at No. 1 singles and two more at No. 1 doubles to help the Falcons collect wins against Martin County and Dreyfoos School of the Arts. "Dennis holds school record in Football for Rushing yards, all purpose yards, and touch downs. He also helped take the team to back to back District championships, also a new s hook record," proud mentor Todd shared. "Dennis is the first legacy student athlete at JBHS. His father attended and graduated from JBHS, and previously held some of the records that his son now holds. I was the mentor for Dennis Palmer Senior, and I’m still the mentor for Dennis Palmer Jr. and have been since his birth." Dennis plans to attend Bethune-Cookman University on a football scholarship and study sports medicine and sports training. 🎉 Congratulations, Dennis!
